Are you tired of going to networking events that yield few leads? Is your ideal customer in hiding?
How about this idea. Form your own networking evening in conjunction with two or three other companies who target the same customer as you. Each company invites their own customers and prospects and the result is that you meet each other’s network. This will do a few things:
- It will increase the chances that your ideal customer will be there
- You will be seen as an expert and thought leader since you organized it
- You will get exposure to a new group of people
You can take the idea further and host the networking event at a non-profit. Instead of meeting at a restaurant or bar, why not meet at a food bank and pack food while you network?
Not only will you help the local community but it will also be a good PR opportunity and you will build good relations with the non-profit. Sounds like a win-win-win all around to me!
