I have one of the original Flip Video camcorders. For the most part it does pretty good but recently when I turned it on, it went “bing” and froze at the logo screen. Nothing I did helped. I took the batteries out, put them back in, deleted files (it would connect to the PC fine).
I finally figured it out with the help of the Pure Digital support people. The answer is to take out the batteries and leave them out for at least 72 hours. The camcorder must stay charged somehow and doesn’t reset. Anyway after the prescribed 72 hours I put them back in an now all is well.
