Need help with a website, brochure or direct mail campaign?
Your marketing tools (brochures, web sites, direct mail, ads, packaging, etc) are often the first thing a customer will see about your brand. We can add value in a couple of ways:
1. Key messages:
We have a particular strength in helping you decide what to say. What are your key messages and to which audience or market segment are you saying it?
Often the inspiration for messaging comes from interviews with your customers. When we listen to your customers we hear what they love most about your products and services. We can use these comments along with other information to form the basis of your messaging.
2. Project management
We also can add value in managing and coordinating the creative professionals that are needed to construct the appropriate marketing tools for your business. You will want to make sure your messaging is consistent across your brochures, advertising, web site, sales training and even your telephone on-hold messaging. You will want to have the same look and feel to your communications to reinforce your brand and leverage your investment.
We work with a network of creative professionals to produce marketing tools. We can also work with agencies and others with whom you already have a relationship.
But the marketing plan comes first!
Often when a client contacts us they are looking for something specific -- for example a website. While a website might be helpful, it is very difficult to create one that is effective without doing the marketing basics beforehand.
For example, we should know:
- Who is the "sweet spot" customer?
- What are their hot buttons as they make their buying decisions?
- What is the sales cycle for your product or service and what is the role of the website in that sales cycle?
- How do your customers expect to use your website?
- Etc.
Without knowing the answers to these questions and others, the design and content of a website (or any marketing tool) is likely to be a guess. That means your chances of selling more widgets is going to be poor.
If you want marketing success, you have to be prepared to spend time (and money) on planning. Without that we can't really help you. The end result would be disappointing and we would both feel bad.
Sometimes you don't need us
We hate to say it but if you already have a solid marketing plan, a good handle on your messaging and you want to manage the development process yourself then you may not need us. We might be of value in the role of a coach however.
